Does this mean that a referral is right around the corner? I've heard people say that when you have a bunch of unexpected expenses you can expect to get "the call". I don't see that happening though ...
We have a big screen in our living room and a big screen in our family room. The living room TV decided that the picture would look much better if it were all green, magenta and yellow -- oh, yeah, and if the image was doubled making it nearly impossible to watch. N told me that it hurts his eyes - Ha! We've had this TV for probably 4-5 years. Fine. Whatever.
However the next one has me so mad. We went to turn on the TV in the family room the other day and all it did was click. This TV is barely two years old -- it's my favorite TV. It's a HDTV, so we're also paying extra for the HD programming, and paying extra for the "special" (read: more money, because my cable company loves to rip people off) cable box with the "special" cables so that we can watch the HD programming. Funny how you pay extra for a TV that is an HDTV, and then you have to pay the cable company extra just to be able to watch the HD Programming, and then you have to pay extra again because you can't use the box that you have always used - it has to be a special HD box. Again, whatever! Back to my point - the TV is gone and I'm SOOOO sad. I guess maybe those extended warranties that they try to sell you may have been worth it in this case. We have no idea what is wrong with it, but the guy told us that it will cost at least $500 to fix it. ARGH! (we didn't even ask him how much it would cost to fix the other TV)
Electronics frustrate me.
