One year ago today

We finalized M's adoption. She has been legally ours for 365 days! I wish the weather would have been this nice a year ago! It's a beautiful 75 degree day - NOTHING like it was last year! Last year we woke up to horrible storms. The kind of storms that blow trees over - and cause all kinds of damage. Our hearing was scheduled for 8:30am. It wasn't safe to leave our house until 8:30. Thankfully when we called the courthouse, they were understanding, and said that the judge wasn't even there yet, and the majority of their employees were stuck in their vehicles in the parking lot! My parents took the day off to share this special moment with us, but, due to the weather - they couldn't make it. We were all bummed! The boys were quite disappointed when we entered the room, because they were fully expecting Doc Hudson to be our judge. LOL!!!

It was such a special day, and one that I will never forget!
